Quick Start Guide

1. Talk to the Great Tree to begin!
2. Defend the Dryads and their trees! If the Dryads take too much damage, they will retreat into their trees to heal. If their trees take too much damage, they will die.
3. Trees that do not have Dryads are called Life Trees, and provide Life Energy every few seconds while alive. You use Life Energy to upgrade Defense and Life Trees, or buy Vineman Defenders from the Great Tree.
4. Collect enough Life Energy to win the Challenge! If the Great Tree falls, or you fail to collect enough Life Energy by the time the clock runs out, the Challenge ends in failure.

The Rules

Protect the Great Tree

• Speak with the Great Tree to begin the Challenge.
• Enemies will begin to attack the trees once the Challenge begins.
• Defense Trees are the first line of defense! Defense Tree Dryads will attack incoming enemies. The Defense Tree becomes vulnerable if its Dryad gets low on health and retreats into the tree. A Dryad is defeated if the Defense Tree falls. Defense Trees can be upgraded or revived by speaking to them and spending Life Energy.
• Life Trees extract Life Energy for the Great Tree. Life Trees do not have Dryads to protect them, and are particularly vulnerable to attack. They can be upgraded or revived by speaking to them and spending Life Energy.
• The Great Tree is located in the center of the map. Vineman Defenders can be purchased by speaking to the Great Tree. If the Great Tree falls, the Challenge fails.

Star Objectives

Dryad Grove: The Great Tree

You will earn a star and Purple Dragon Knight favor for completing these objectives:

• Build up enough Life Energy
• Build up more Life Energy
• Build up even more Life Energy
• Defeat the Cay'Vorym Battlemistress
• Defeat the Salamander Berzerker

Dryad Grove: Defenseless

In Defenseless, the dead rise as Drow Necromancers gather their forces to take out the Great Tree! With only five minutes, and no Defense Trees, can you hold out against the troops of the living dead?

• Build up enough Life Energy
• Build up more Life Energy
• Build up even more Life Energy
• Defeat the Undead Arch-Necromancer
• Defeat the Raised Dragon Knight

NOTE: You must complete the first star objective (Build up enough Life Energy) to receive experience & rewards from the Challenge.
